Bright and floral in Santa Monica

It's been only three days since I got back from California, but the disgustingly cold weather of NYC makes me want to go back in time and be at the beach again, with my face in the sun and my feet in the sand!

Passaram apenas três dias desde que voltei da Califórnia, mas esse frio insuportavel e nojento de NYC me faz querer voltar no tempo e estar na praia de novo, com raios de sol tocando meu rosto e os meus pés na areia!

Less than a week ago I was at the beautiful Santa Monica beach, wearing this cute floral dress from The Shopping Bag. Soaking up the sun at the beach in its bright colors made me feel like it was actually summer in the middle of January.  

Menos de uma semana atrás, eu estava na linda praia de Santa Monica, usando este vestido floral da loja online The Shopping Bag! Tomar um sol na praia com esse vestido em cores brilhantes me fez sentir como se fosse realmente verão no meio de janeiro.

Feeling SoCal

As a Brazilian girl, I love summer. The winter in the East Side of the country is by far my least favorite thing about NY.

SoCal is an abbreviation for Southern California, an area which I haven't had the chance to know yet but I am dying to. Maybe that will be a place to escape during the cold winter in NYC.

However while winter is not here yet, I can put on some cut off denim shorts, mirrored sunglasses and pretend I am a California Gal.

New York actually has some great beaches. Unfortunately I haven't been in all of them yet but I love Fire Island, and for this shoot I was in Coney Island. Coney Island is very easy to access since you can take a subway and be right there, and also is not a long drive from the city by car. Its boardwalk is famous because of the rides and it was even scenario for Beyonce's music video XO. 

Wish this summer could last longer and I could always pretend to be in California wearing summer clothes. Love it.

Como boa brasileira, eu amo o verão. O inverno no East Side dos EUA é de longe a minha última coisa favorita de NY. 

SoCal é uma abreviatura para o sul da Califórnia, uma área que eu não tive a oportunidade de conhecer ainda, mas eu estou morrendo de vontade conhecer. Talvez esse seja um lugar para escapar durante o inverno frio em Nova York. 

No entanto, enquanto o inverno ainda não está aqui, eu posso colocar um pouco de shorts jeans cut off, óculos espelhado, e fingir que sou uma California Gal. 

New York na verdade tem boas praias. Infelizmente eu não fui em todas elas ainda, mas eu amo Fire Island, e para essas fotos eu estava em Coney Island. Coney Island é muito fácil de acessar, pois você pode pegar o metro e chegar lá bem na frente, e também não é muito londe de NYC dirigindo. O calçadão de lá é famoso por causa dos parques de diversão e já foi ate cenário para o clipe XO da Beyonce. 

Queria que esse verão pudesse durar mais tempo e eu sempre pudesse fingir de estar na Califórnia vestindo roupas de verão. Adoro.
